Eindhoven man held in new forced prostitution case

A 25 year old man was arrested in Eindhoven on Tuesday night on suspicion of human trafficking after a wounded woman was found on the street earlier that night. According to the police, they received a report around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday that a woman was being forced into a car against her will on Celebeslaan. Officers responded and found a 20 year old woman from Utrecht on the street. She had injuries to her face and bloodstains on her clothes. The woman could not give an adequate explanation for how she came to be on the street in that condition, so the officers decided to take her to the police station in Eindhoven for further investigation. Later that evening a 25 year old man showed up at the station and wanted to pick the woman up. He had her pasport with him. The police' investigation led them to believe that the woman may be a victim of human trafficking and forced prostitution, so they arrested the man and seized his car. He is in custody for further investigation. The police would like to make contact with anyone who may have witnessed the woman's abuse or have any information related to this case.
