Four held in large cocaine import scheme
The police arrested four men in Ommen on Wednesday for importing hard drugs from South America. A substantial amount of cocaine was discovered in a container on the industrial estate De Strangen.
The police launched an investigation after receiving signals that hard drugs were being imported from South America. This led them to the container which was delivered at De Strangen on Wednesday and received by the four suspects.
The four men, three men from Almelo aged 30, 31 and 36 years and a 58 year old man from Den Ham, were arrested. The police seized the contents of the container as well as two cars and a firearm.
