Suspicious package found on Buitenhof

Part of the Buitenhof in The Hague had to be closed off for a short time on Tuesday morning after the discovery of a suspicious package. The package was found in a bike bag near the Israeli Embassy, AD reports. The police closed off the area to investigate, redirecting traffic and public transport. The police have since announced that it was a false alarm and the area was accessible again around 09:15 a.m.
