Residents beaten with hammers in two Amsterdam home invasions

Several men invaded a home in Eerste Kekerstraat in Amsterdam-Zuidoost around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. They beat two residents with a hammer and fled with stolen items. The bloodied residents managed to get to their neighbors after the robbers had fled. Their injuries were treated at the scene. Local residents told RTV Noord Holland that there were three men wearing balaclavas and Halloween masks. They fled over the fence in the backyard after the robbery. This was the second home invasion in Zuidoost over the weekend. Another home on Veenendaallein was robbed on Saturday night. The police have not been able to find the robbers and have called for witnesses through Burgernet. They are looking for three relatively young men. Two of them had dark skin. One of the robbers was wearing a ski mask and jeans. The second robber was wearing a white and green sweater and was riding a dark-colored ladies bike. The third was wearing a black Nike tracksuit. One of them was carrying a red bag.
