Divers search for Amsterdam gang murder evidence

Police divers searched the Tweede Kostverlorenkade in Amsterdam West on Wednesday morning in connection with the fatal shooting on De Clercqstraat last month.  According to the police, they were looking for evidence connected to the shooting. The scooter the perpetrators fled on was found near the Kostverlorenvaart last week, so the police believe its likely that the perpetrators may have dumped other evidence, such as the murder weapon, there. 25 year old Zaandam resident Youssef el Kahtaoui was killed in the shooting on De Clerqstraat on May 13th. The police believe that he was not the intended target.
