Men bring explosive to Nieuwendijk police station

Two men entered the police station in Nieuwendijk with an explosive at around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. The men had found the explosive and took it to the police station so that they could make it safe. The police carefully lput it down in a safe place and called in the explosives experts. Defense's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team quickly removed the explosive - a projectile of about 30 centimeters long and with a diameter of about 7 centimeters - and dismantled it. The police warned the two men never to do something like this again. According to the police, an old explosive can easily detonate if it is picked up or moved.
