Teenagers' joyride wreaks havoc in Den Bosch

A 13-year-old boy from Den Bosch and his 16-year old friend from Eindhoven were arrested Friday at 4.30 a.m. after swiping car keys from the younger kid's parents, and taking the car for a joyride, police reported on Friday. A police patrol spotted the duo driving recklessly on Hesselstraat, before they crashed the vehicle into a parked car on Piet Slagerstraat.  The car was driving at high speed on Hesselstraat without lights, swinging from one side of the road to the other as if the driver was not sufficiently in control of the car, police stated. after the crash, the teenagers kept on going until they drove off the road on Jan Sluyterstraat. Police arrested the youngsters at the scene. They were not injured in the crash. The stolen car was totalled and was then towed away. The damages caused to the parked car were reported to the owner, but police did not estimate the value of the wreck.
