Little brothers scare parents with solo trip to Ikea

Two young brothers from Oud Gastel had their parents in a panic when they suddenly disappeared on Thursday afternoon, only to be found in the Ikea in Breda kilometers away. It seems that the adventurous duo, 7 year old Damien and 4 year old Sam, thought it was a fine idea to spend Ascension Day in an Ikea. According to Omroep Brabant, the two put on their "naughty shoes", got on a bus and made the kilometers long journey to the Ikea in Breda. Once there, they were noticed by a police officer, who took them in. Meanwhile father Martin Hegen had noticed his sons were gone and in a panic, got on his bicycle and cycled countless laps through Oud Gastel. Eventually his wife noticed that she had a missed call on her phone. "When we called back we got a police officer on the line. He told us that the children were found in the Ikea in Breda", Martin said to Omroep Brabant. Martin thinks that his sons probably got the idea when the family went to Efteling by bus last week. "Our boys were then informed that it's free for children to travel buy bus." The police officer who helped their boys to return home is their hero. "All praise towards him. I can not explain how grateful I am to the police for this.", Martin said.
