TomTom CFO Marina Wyatt resigns
Marina Wyatt, the CFO of TomTom, will leave the company at the end of July in order to take up the position of CFO at the London based UBM plc, a global events and communications company. Wyatt served as CFO of TomTom since 2005.
Wyatt is leaving TomTom and an interesting time for the firm, which is faced with a somewhat uncertain future. Although sales of consumer-level navigation devices are lagging, TomTom received a similar amount of orders from automotive makers for built-in devices. The company is also branching out into different product lines, including the release of an action camera line meant to compete with similar offerings from GoPro and Garmin.
"I have hugely enjoyed my time at TomTom and am sad to leave my friends and colleagues here," Wyatt commented on her departure from the Amsterdam-based company. "Contributing to the journey of the company over the past ten years has been an absolute privilege. The company today is broader and stronger than ever before and well equipped to continue its success."
"Over the past ten years, Marina has been crucial to the success of TomTom", says Harold Goddijn, CEO of TomTom, "Marina has added tremendous value with her financial expertise and leadership. We regret seeing Marina leave our company as she was not only a very good professional but also a great team player and a friend."
"We are very grateful to Marina for her outstanding service to TomTom", said Peter Wakkie, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, "Her expertise and dedication were invaluable in creating a stable financial environment for the company. The members of the Supervisory Board will miss her as a colleague and a friend and wish her all the best."
