No warning sirens today for war Remembrance

There will be no warning sirens test on Monday due to the war Remembrance. The warning sirens are always tested at exactly 12:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month, except on national or religious holidays. According to Omroep Brabant, if you hear the emergency sirens sounding today, it means that something is wrong. Residents should then stay indoors, close doors and windows and turn on the regional radio or television station for more information. In March the Ministry of Security of Justice announced that the emergency sirens will be phased out, presumably by late 2017. From 2018 the Ministry plans to warn people about disasters via social media, NL alert, radio, websites and text messages from the government.
