Amsterdam man held in elderly woman assault

The police arrested a 26 year old man in Amsterdam on Wednesday on suspicion of assaulting a 78 year old woman. On Sunday, April 19th, the elderly woman addressed a man on his behavior on Herenmarkt in Amsterdam. The man did not take this well and kicked her hard against the leg, giving her a triple fracture in her shin. The police launched an investigation immediately after the assault. Officers conducted an area investigation, spoke to several witnesses and spread the perpetrator's description. These efforts led to the man's arrest. He is in custody for questioning.
