NS gets trains ready for King's Day

NS will once again be using a special timetable during King's Day on April 27th, the railway company announced on Thursday. From Sunday, April 26th, NS will have extra and longer trains on some routes and additional trains driving at night, NU reports. No alcohol will be allowed on the trains. The RAI station in Amsterdam will be closed on King's Day. Visitors attending parties at the RAI or Olympic Stadium are advised to travel via Amsterdam Zuid. International trains and Intecity Direct trains will not stop at Amsterdam Centraal on King's Day, but will travel from Schiphol, Utrecht Centraal and Amersfoort. NS advises travelers to make sure that they ave enough money on their public transport cards in advance as the vending machines are expected to be very busy.
