Hunt on for second victim in building collapse

A partial building collapse in Ede, Gelderland left at least one person, and possibly a second trapped underneath rubble. The pair could have been trapped since 12:30 p.m. after the building's roof caved in, though rescue workers only discovered the first victim around 5:15 p.m., Omroep Gelderland reported. That person was transported from the turbulent scene to an area hospital by helicopter at about 6 p.m. A second air ambulance was on site late Friday afternoon in case another victim is found. Emergency responders are still searching for the other victim. It is not known if the other person is even on the premises, a fire department spokesman told AD. Neither of the two being sought after works at the Ede facility. Rescuers did not know to look for them until later in the day, Omroep Gelderland reported from the scene. The facility is believed to be used by construction material firm Raab Kärcher.
