New expenses scandal hits ruling VVD party

Another VVD member is in trouble because of his declarations, De Telegraaf reports. Bram Dirkx, councilor in Venray in Limburg, allegedly messed with his declarations during his time as national chairman of the VVD's youth organization JOVD. This is according to multiple members of the JOVD, who said this to Quote. In 2012 Dirkx resigned his position due to helath issues, but according to the newspaper, he was pressured to do so. Documents in Quote's possession shows that the then 20 year old Dirkx declared amonts between 500 and 600 euros every month, while his colleagues only declared between 100 and 200 euros per month.
