Amsterdam power outage knocks out TV show

The talk show RTL Late Night presented by Humberto Tan started more than 15 minutes late last night because of the power outage in Amsterdam. The power outage affected a total of 1,766 connections. The cause was a defect in a so-called substation. The power was restored around 22:30 last night, according to grid manager Liander. The power outage also affected Tuschinski cinema, who decided to vacate the property. The police had extra surveillance in the affected area. "We see that break-ins happen more often in situations like this." a spokesperson said to NU.
