Family spat turns deadly in new Amsterdam shooting

There was another shooting incident in Amsterdam last night. A 39 year old man was shot in a house on Maurits Sabbehof in Nieuw-West, supposedly by a family member, NOS reports. The victim died a short time after the incident. Emergency service responded to the house at around 19:30 last night. According to a police spokesperson, the shooting probably had to do with family matters. But the motive for the shooting is still unclear. According to one witness the man was shot in the stairwell. Several other witnesses reported hearing at least two or three shots, AT5 reports. The alleged perpetrator fled and has not been arrested yet. The police have launched a search for him. According to a spokesperson, the police know who the man is. The exact relationship between the victim and the perpetrator is unknown, but it is clear that they were related. Neither victim or suspect lived in the house where the shooting occurred.
