Boiling oil assault leaves woman seriously injured

A woman was seriously injured on Slaperdijk in Purmerend this morning after a man threw her with hot oil from a deep fryer. The woman fled through the back yard and asked help from a neighbor. She was rushed to the burns center in Beverwijk with an emergency helicopter.The motive behind the incident is still unknown. A man has been arrested as a suspect. According to neighbors, domestic disturbances are common occurrences in the house, Dichtbij reports. Shouts were heard from the house this morning before the incident.
