Police raid 33,000-plant marijuana plantation
A 44-year-old man from Rosmalen was arrested on Tuesday during a police raid on a massive marijuana plantation in Zaltbommel. The plantation consisted of 33,000 plants being grown in an office building located on Van Voordenpark.
The police discovered the plantation after receiving a tip from a passerby who found the property suspicious. The 44-year-old man was at the plantation when the police arrived and was arrested immediately. A 68 year old from Rotterdam was later arrested near the plantation.
The police are investigating how many harvests the plantation has had. The plants and equipment were destroyed.
