Elderly woman stabbed by 14-year-old in home invasion
A 73-year-old woman was stabbed last Saturday by three young boys who invaded home in Amsterdam Noord.
Police say the violent attack took place at Bundlaan around 6.00pm. The three boys had somehow gained access to the apartment building and knocked on the lady’s door, just as her husband had left to walk the dog. When she opened they barged in and she got stabbed during the tussle that ensued.
They ran off without noteworthy loot, leaving the woman on the floor, bleeding. Police immediately searched the area, but to no avail. The victim was transported to the hospital and released after her wounds were treated. Police said she “is doing ok, under the circumstances.”
The young assailants have been described as "remarkably young", between the ages of 13 and 15 and light skinned.
“This is such a cowardly act,” a neighbor told HartvanNederland TV.
