Dead man on tram was 56; criminal investigation underway

The police are investigating the reports of a tram driver continuing his journey with a dead passenger on board in Amsterdam on Friday afternoon. The victim is a 56 year old man from Amstelveen. According to the police, he died of natural causes. Eyewitnesses told De Telegraaf that they informed the driver of Tram 5 dad their was a dead man on board, but the driver refused to stop. "We are now trying to figure out if those reports are true." said a spokesperson for the police. Leaving a person in a helpless state is a punishable offense.
