Cop dragged 15 meters, hospitalized

A police officer was injured in Hilversum on Friday night/Saturday morning after trying stop a scooter. One of the officers was dragged behind the scooter for 15 meters. At about 00:15 a.m. the officer gave a stop sign to the driver of a scooter. The driver lost control of his scooter and hit the officer. The suspect then grabbed his scooter and drove away. The officer tried to stop the suspect and was dragged behind the scooter for 15 meters. A second assisting unit arrested the suspect, a 19 year old from Hilversum. The man resisted arrest and had to be handcuffed. The suspect remains in custody and his scooter was confiscated. The officer was taken to the hospital and treated for a concussion and bruises.
