Vermeulen death stuns hockey world
The Dutch hockey world is stunned by the sudden loss of SCHC goalkeeper Inge Vermeulen. The hockey community is showing its support for Vermeulen's family and friends and her former team. "Shocked by the sudden death of SCHC goalkeeper Inge Vermeulen. Only 30 years old! Rest in peace," comments the former Dutch hockey player and coach Marc Lammers.
"So sad to hear that @SCHCDames1 ex-teammate Inge Vermeulen has passed away aged just 30. My thoughts are with her family and friends. RIP." Tweets her former English teammate Kate Richardson-Walsh.
"Tonight at 7 p.m. there is a chance for everyone to come together at the clubhouse after the great loss of Inge Vermeulen" her team tweeted this morning.
The SV Kampong hockey club shows their support as well. "Condolences! @SCHCDames1 @stichtsche we think of you. Rest in peace Inge."
