"Repeat offender" escapes Rotterdam prison

A prisoner escaped from the Hoogvliet prison in Rotterdam on Tuesday Morning. The police are looking for the prisoner. The man and another prisoner would have been transferred to another location. He escaped during the transfer. According to RTV Rijnmond, the prisoner is a repeat offender. The police are looking for the prisoner, using among other things a helicopter and dogs. Tussenwater station, which is close to the prison, is also being monitored. The prison in Hoogvliet (the former city jail) together with De Schie prison form the Penitentiary Institution Rotterdam.
