Cocaine worth millions found floating in buoy

Investigators looking into reports of a strange light in the water off the Zeeland coast wound up discovering 1,300 kilograms of cocaine. Packages of the drug were attached to a homemade buoy floating in Westerschelde, the estuary of the Scheldt River, the police announced on Twitter. "It came to light by a light," police said. “As a result of this light the police went to assess the situation and found the shipment at sea with a street value of several million.” Some news reports estimated the value at over ten million euro. “Police are investigating the case, and hope they can identify the suspects.”
