Markthal Rotterdam makes Guardian's 10 Best list

Rotterdam's very first indoor fresh food market has earned itself a spot on the Guardian's Top 10 Food Markets in Europe. Markthal Rotterdam, the "Food walhalla of the Netherlands" opened it's doors to the public in October. The awe inspiring architectural artwork situated at the Binnenrotte next to Blaak Station, is open until 8pm every day of the week. The bustling market boasts one hundred fresh produce stalls, fifteen food shops, eight restaurants, a cooking school, over two-hundred apartments and 1200 parking spaces. Teeming with varieties and flavours from all over the world, Markthal also helped land Rotterdam on Rough Guide's list of Must-See travel destinations.
