Utrecht building world's largest bike storage center

In Utrecht, construction has started on what is to be the world's biggest bicycle parking center. The structure, which will be built under Utrecht Centraal Station, will have the capacity to hold 12,500 bicycles, the NOS reports. By the time the building is finalized in 2018, the space will have three floors. Its placement allows people to travel easily from the train station to the parking spaces, as the bike storage center is going to be built directly under the station. Utrecht Centraal's station square will get a new roof, 25 meters high, which will be higher than other surrounding buildings.
