Zundert flower parade goes international

The flower parade in Zundert is receiving increasing interest from abroad, with more than a quarter of the tickets for the traditional parade sold to foreigners this year, the organization reported on Tuesday. With ticket buyers coming from Taiwan, Australia, the United States, England and Ireland, among others. According to a spokesperson, sales from abroad doubled compared to last year. The internet and social media enables people to share pictures of the parade with the world, and that does the popularity of the parade no harm. The parade in Zundert is the largest dahlia parade in the world and will be held on Sunday for the 73rd time. Twenty hamlets work virtually the whole year on high quality designs. The flower parade attracts tens of thousands of spectators to the Brabant location every year.
