Nearly 50 gov't employees in motorcycle gangs

Firing members of criminal motorcycle gangs who work for the government is not always as easy as it sounds. Parliament discussed this topic previously but there are still a dozen of government officials who are members of such gangs. Coalition parties VVD and PvdA insisted on a sharper approach or policy today. There are about 48 government officials who have been spoken to regarding their membership with a motorcycle gang, according to Minister of Security and Justice, Ivo Opstelten. It can be understood that there will be consequences for their job, or in the worst case they can get fired. So far, 13 outlaw bikers quit their jobs or have left the bikers club at own initiative. Opstelten and his colleagues at defense and civil services will discuss the possibilities on how handle the concerning officials.
