One more arrest in botched Blaricum home invasion

A second suspect was arrested in Amsterdam on Wednesday, in connection with a botched home invasion in Blaricum Friday during which police shot a man in the leg. The robbery at Karekiet in Blaricum took place around 9.40pm on Friday April 11th. Police say the suspects ran away after assaulting a man in his home. Police officers who were on the scene within minutes, saw one the suspects running away; he ignored calls to stop so one of the officers shot him in the leg. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released, after which he was taken into custody. The two other suspects were not found then. Police say that they continued the investigation, which lead them to a house in Amsterdam Wednesday morning, where they arrested a 22-year-old man. He will be taken in front of a judge on Friday.
