V&D pulls Wehrmacht T-shirt
Dutch clothing warehouse Vroom & Dreesman has been forced to pull a T-shirt from the racks, depicting a dog wearing a uniform from the German Wehrmacht, as people were complaining about the item on social media.
A spokesperson for V&D says that the retailer is apologetic to people who may feel hurt by the image. "We were insufficiently aware about the nature of the image." The Wehrmacht was the name for the Nazi forces of Gernany during WWII.
The shirt is from the brand Blend. The dog is also wearing Aviators, a fur hat and is smoking a pipe.
