Rotterdam trams crash injuring dozens

Three trams crashed into each other on the Breeplein in Rotterdam-Zuid around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon. A spokesperson for the police says 25 people have been injured. Several people complained of neck or back injurues. Ambulances were called. A doctor was present at the accident, and was able to offer first aid to the victims.

The incident involves tram line 2 in the direction of Groene Tuin, line 20 to Lombardje and and tram line 25 direction Carnisselanden. Due to the accident, tram traffic to and from the Breeplein has been diverted. It is as of yet unclear how three trams could collide.
