Military to aid Groningen in earthquake events

A contingency plan, presented by the Safety Region Groningen, Friday, will provide emergency responders with support from the army in case of a heavy earthquake. The plan provides support of about 200 soldiers within 8 hours of a heavy earthquake. If building collapse, sniffer dogs and special rescue teams will be mobilized to search for survivors under the rubble.
