AH says goodbye to Albert.nl

Albert.nl, the delivery service for the web stores of Albert Heijn, Etos, and Gall & Gall will slowly disappear over the course of the next few years. The violet colored crates, vans, and uniforms will slowly be replaced by Albert Heijn blue. The delivery service was established in 2011, at the same time as the online store, Albert.nl.

The supermarket chain aims for more consistency and brand recognition, according to spokesperson Danja Hoogkamer, Tuesday. ah.nl will be the central order platform. The crates, delivery vans, and uniforms will slowly be replaced, starting next month, according to schedule and with maintenance. 'The 200 delivery vans will not be repainted and will only be renewed when needed,' said Hoogkamer, who went on to say: 'that means it will take a few years before all purple items are replaced by blue.'
