AH to apologize to lesbians

Supermarket chain Albert Heijn (AH) wants to apologize to two lesbian girls who kissed each other in an Utrecht AH location on Valentine's Day, and were told by a security officer that was not acceptable. The officer feared other customers could take offense. The girls, in turn, were offended and left the store. The security officer's actions were certainly not according to AH policy, assures a AH spokesperson. 'People should be able to kiss each other in our stores, especially on Valentine's Day,' said the spokesperson. AH is trying to get in touch with the girls to apologize for the unfortunate incident, 'and offer them flowers,' said the spokesperson.
