Son stabs parents, arrested

Police have arrested a man who stabbed both his parents Saturday night.

The stabbing had taken place in Moordrecht around 7.00pm. Apparently the 29-year-old man got into a heated argument with his father (65) at his house, following which he stabbed him. When his mother (45) intervened, he stabbed her as well. By the time police arrived on the scene, the son had fled. Both parents were taken to a hospital, where they were treated and kept overnight. Officers spotted the son walking at Jacob van Lennep Kade around 8 and placed him under arrest. It is not clear what the argument was about.
