King to spend 5 days in Sochi

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will spend five days in Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Sochi 2014 - Mascots / Olympic.org They will attend the games from February 7 to February 11. The king has been invited by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as an honorary member. The king and queen will present at the opening ceremony of the games on February 7. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and sports minister Edith Schippers will also travel to Sochi to represent the Netherlands in Winter Olympic Games. Rutte will attend the games on February 7 and February 8, while Schippers will attend from February 17 to February 20.
