PvdA: cities should set marijuana growing rules

Labour parliamentarian Marith Rebel has suggested Minister of Security and Justice Ivo Opstelten to allow experiments with the legal marijuana production. Cannabis / Wikipedia Rebel said in an interview with the NRC that municipalities should be allowed to set their own marijuana rules. She said that experiment with legal marijuana production may tackle nuisance associated with the cannabis cafes. In December, Last month Opstelten rejected calls from mayors of 25 municipalities to allow regulated marijuana production. Opstelten said that allowing it would be illegal and would not solve the problems.
