Man stabbed for urinating in public

A man stabbed another in Schiedam Sunday night because he was urinating in public.

Police say that the incident happened around 11.30pm; the two men got into an argument because the one could not appreciate that the other was relieving himself out in public. At a certain moment one grabbed a knife and stabbed the other in the torso. The victim fled and the stabber returned home. Witnesses called police and were able to arrest the stabber at his house at Mozartlaan, not far off the scene of the crime. They also followed the track of blood and found the victim. He was trying to stop the bleeding himself but that wasn’t working. Police took him to a hospital. He was allowed to leave after receiving treatment; the stabber was locked up at the police station. Both men are aged 27.
