Massive Deventer fire still unsolved

Police have not been able to determine the cause of the large fire that started in a grill room in the historic center of Deventer, and destroyed several apartments, last year on December 20th. Both Forensic Investigation and the Tactical team were not able to piece together what transpired that day on the Grote Overstraat, causing a grill room to go up in flames. 40 apartments were initially evacuated. 9 of those were damaged by the fire, that destroyed all evidence. Several people were questioned. One employee left work that morning around 05:00. Soon after, around 06:15 the fire was discovered. However, it quickly spread to the vacant upper floor and from there to adjacent buildings.
