Netherlands picks Rio de Janeiro as FIFA Cup Base

The Netherlands has selected Rio de Janeiro as a 2014 World Football Cup base, Daijiworld reports citing IANS news agency. Rio de Janeiro / Flickr However, the Ducth football team will not play any group match in the city. The Netherlands is in Group B and Dutch team will open its campaign against world champions Spain in Salvador on June 13. The World Cup will be held from June 12 through July 13 next year.
