Three injured after police chase Rotterdam

Three people were injured in Rotterdam Sunday morning when the car they were driving crashed into a lamppost during a police pursuit, reported RTV Rijnmond. The 33-year-old driver of the vehicle tried to flee from an alcohol checkpoint on the Eendrachtsweg. During the police chase that followed, the driver crashed his car into a lamppost on the Droogleever Fortuynplein. After the collision, the man still tried to get away on foot, but officers managed to apprehend him soon after. Politielogo

No other suspicious items were found in the car. The three passengers in the car complained about neck problems after the crash and were taken to the Erasmus Medical Center.
