'Nude' parade through downtown for World Diabetes Day

On November 14 a group of "naked" people will walk through the center of Amsterdam. This group is known as the Diabetes Gang, who want to point out the consequences of the disorder on World Diabetes Day. The striptease is a fun event, aiming to get the public's attention, and literally showing them the 'naked' truth, states Karin van Geelen, spokesperson for Yellow Communications. world diabetes day

Flickr Diabetes Gang consists of eight actors and is an initiative of the Dutch Diabetes Federation in collaboration with Novo Nordisk. On November 14 the 'Gang' will walk a course through the capital, dressed in special skin-colored suits, showing all the veins of the human body, and highlighting the pancreas . In addition to the suits they will also carry signs with facts about the condition, and patient quotes. A little naked truth about diabetes and some naked truth of the patient. They will perform together, with a lot of shouting and attracting the attention of shoppers, announced Van Geelen . The "naked" gang will walk a route from the Central Station to Dam Square, the Kalverstraat, to Leidseplein, and back. On this route , they will perform their act several times.
