Less delayed flights than last year
Last summer flights from Dutch airlines were less frequently delayed than in the summer of 2012.This became evident from published data of EUclaim Tuesday, an advocate for affected air passengers.
1.28 percent of the Arkefly aircraft arrived over 180 minutes late at their destination, which is almost a quarter less than last summer. Transavia had 36 percent less delays, and Corendon Dutch Airlines even had 68 percent fewer delays.

Wikipedia.org KLM also improved, but the company canceled more flights this summer, unfortunately causing an increase in the figures, according to EUclaim. EUclaim suspects the decrease in flight delays is in part the result of a ruling by the European Court of Justice, last October. It was confirmed that airline passengers who are delayed for more than three hours, are entitled to financial compensation. Foreign airlines flying to Netherlands, showed less improvement last summer, concluded EUclaim. The Turkish Corendon Airlines, which relatively counted the most delays, even showed an increase of the number of aircraft with a delay greater than three hours, of 1.80 percent in the summer of 2012 to 2.17 percent this year.
