World’s Largest E-Commerce Distribution Centre

Online department store Wehkamp.nl announced that it plans to build a €100 million automated distribution centre. The company claims that the new centre will be the world’s largest for online shopping. Online Shopping with Touchscreen Ultrabook / Flickr BNR reports that the centre will replace the company’s current distribution centre in Dedemsvaart. The company’s 200 permanent workers will move to the new location. The centre, which is expected to be completed in the summer of 2015, will process up to 80,000 items on a daily basis.
