U.S. Secret Agency Must Get Permission

The Netherlands’ Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Ronald Plasterk said in a briefing that the United States secret agency National Security Agency (NSA) must get permission from the local security agencies before doing activities like phone tapping. In the Netherlands, Dutch law also applies to allies, according to the minister. Ronald Plasterk / Wikipedia The NSA tapped 1.8 million Dutch telephones in one month year, Dutch technology website Tweakers reported earlier. The Dutch government is in talks with United States about phone tapping and other security activities by NSA. The government could make mutual agreements with NSA, news agency ANP reports earlier.
