Manufacturer recalls insuline

Pharmaceutical Company Novo Nordisk recalls 100,000 insulin pens. They may contain the wrong amount of diabetes medication. It concerns the NovoMix30 FlexPens. Approximately 45,000 people in The Netherlands use the drug. A wrong dose of insulin may result in thirst, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Patients with these symptoms are advised to contact their doctor. They should not immediately stop the medication, because that can be dangerous. The problems occurred in a factory in China. Something appears to have gone wrong during the filling process of the pens over the past three months. Besides Netherlands, the manufacturer also recalls three million pens from ten other European countries.
