Shortcomings in Breda hospital

Health Care Inspection has taken note of several deficiencies in the Breda Amphia Hospital. There are too many staff changes and the transfer from patients from the operating room to, for instance, the recovery room lacks structure. Also the mandatory double-check for creating and administering medications is not always applied. Amphia hospital

A plan of action for improvement is already in place, says a representative. There are more training sessions for staff. Amphia also controls protocol adherence more effectively. Health Care Inspection will do a follow-up review of the operating rooms soon.
