Asscher Talks With FNV

Lodewijk Asscher, Minister of Social Affairs and Employment has kept his promise and has discussed the mass dismissal at healthcare supplier Sensire, with FNV chairman Ton Heerts on Sunday. So say both spokesmen of each of them on Sunday evening. What specifically has been discussed during the telephonic conversation was not disclosed. According to the spokesman of the FNV, the Minister committed to give attention to the grievances of the trade union and parliamentary questions that have been raised about the case. The spokesman of Asscher did not reveal any details about the telephone meeting. Employees of Sensire and trade unionists had occupied the headquarters of Sensire last Tuesday, because they are angry about the dismissal of 800 permanent employees together with the termination of the contract of 300 temporary home helpers. The home care workers and trade union FNVAbvakabo find the mass dismissal premature.
