Winner Heel Holland Bakt

Rutger is the winner of Heel Holland Bakt 2013. The brand new 'best home baker of the Netherlands' defeated Evert en Narcis in the final of the popular MAX program. During the last baking assignment of this season, the finalists had to make a wedding cake. The assignment was to make the wedding cake, as romantic, festive and tasty as possible. The jury, consisting of master patissier Robèrt van Beckhoven and culinary writer Janny van der Heijden, decided that Rutger was the winner. Heel Holland Bakt is presented by Martine Bijl and is the Dutch version of the British smasher The Great British Bake Off. The past eight weeks ten amateur bakers had to compete against each other and they baked everything from birthday cake to bread to fritters.
