Amsterdam Series Weekend

Fans of television series can enjoy themselves from Friday till Sunday at the ‘Westergasfabriek’ area. The first edition of the ‘Amsterdam Series Weekend’ will be held on that location. At the venue there will be different spots where visitors can see tv series which have not been shown yet in the Netherlands as well as the first episode of series which will be shown in the coming season. The initiative is from Fulko Kuindersma of 'Amsterdam Film Week'. According to him, television series are getting more and more popular in the Netherlands. “But we had no place yet where we could see those series on a big screen, together with friends.” Among the series to be shown are A’dam-E.V.A., Borgen, Falling Skies, Friends and the very popular Games of Thrones. There will also be marathon broadcasts of, among others, Feuten, Overspel and Homeland.
